Note: 

1.  Registration fee includes the registration kit, proceedings, tea/coffee/refreshments in-between the technical sessions, lunch on all the days of the conference, welcome reception and the gala dinner.

2.  For companion, the registration fee includes entry to various workshops (related to Indian art, culture and tradition), tea/coffee/refreshments twice in a day, lunch on all the days of the conference, welcome reception and the gala dinner.

3.  Abstract and Final Draft of the paper would be reviewed by a committee, before acceptance.

4.   Authors of selected papers may be invited to expand their papers (for further review) as per format of the following Journals:
(a) International Journal of Geomechanics (IJOG) published by GI-ASCE
(b) International Journal of Geoengineering Case Histories
(c) International Journal of Physical Modelling in Geotechnics, IJPMG
(d) Geomechanics and Geoengineering: An International Journal
(e) International Journal of Geotechnical Engineering

5.  At least one author should (not valid for the authors with multiple papers) register for inclusion of the paper in the conference proceedings.

6.  For inclusion of the paper in the conference proceedings, partial registration fee of $ 100, for at lest one author, should be sent by 30.6.2008.

7.  Organizers may be able to provide some support to students for attending the conference. Please apply to Prof. D. N. Singh (dns@civil.iitb.ac.in), with a recommendation letter from the faculty advisor.

ACCOMODATION INFORMATION

• The venue for 12^th IACMAG  is  KALA ACADEMY, GOA

• Other hotels listed below are strategically located in the vicinity of the conference venue. The location map of the hotels can be viewed by visiting their respective websites.

• Special rates have been negotiated for 12^th IACMAG delegates, in these hotels.

• All Reservations must be made on or before 1^st August 2008, to get the special rates.

• After 1^st August 2008, special rates cannot be guaranteed & hotel bookings will be subject to availability, as the Conference Secretariat has an obligation to return all unused rooms to the hotels after 1^st  August  2008.

• The Conference Secretariat will endeavor to accommodate the hotel preference of the delegates. However, in case of non-availability of your initial choice, it is advisable to indicate your choice of alternate hotels clearly on the Registration & Hotel Accommodation form.

• A full advance payment (for the total number of nights required), must be made at the time of booking hotel accommodation to enable us to confirm the hotel booking.

• Hotel bookings will be made on a first-come first-served basis.

• The normal Check in for all hotels is 15:00 hrs and Check Out time is 12:00 hrs.

• For early morning check-in, rooms will have to be reserved from the previous night for Immediate Occupancy

    Inclusions:

• Accommodation in centrally air-conditioned rooms with Television and cable Network.

• Telephone in all rooms.

• Buffet Breakfast from next day of arrival.

• To and fro airport transfers.

• Service charges and all currently applicable government taxes inclusive.

AMENDMENTS & CANCELLATIONS:

• All inquiries, changes or cancellations of room reservations must be notified in writing.

• They should be addressed to the Conference Secretariat, FTC Events, and NOT directly to the hotel.

• Cancellation charges will apply as specified against each hotel, as per the chart above.

• In case of “NO-SHOW” ie if you do not arrive on the first night booked, retention charges will apply as specified in the chart above & the reservations will be released automatically.

CANCELLATION POLICY

• Refund for cancellation of hotel accommodation will be made subject to the following deadline and charges:

• On or before Friday, 15^th August 2008 - 6% of the hotel charges paid

• After Friday, 15^th August 2008 - 6% of hotel charges paid & corresponding hotel cancellation charges as per the table above.

• Refunds will be made 60 days after the Conference.

• Please note that substitution is permitted on the basis that written notice is received before 7^th September 2008.

• All above rates are in USD / INR, on per room / per night basis.

Taxes – as indicated above. Any change in the tax, if levied by the Government will be charged as applicable.
