Science is the most important aspect that should be considered in giving the contribution on the development that we can see in the world nowadays. There are many kinds of science branch that can be learned specifically by students nowadays. For example in geomechanics, we can see two main branches that discuss particularly on soil and rock, the sciences are soil mechanics and rock mechanics. If you are interested to know more about soil mechanics, its main concern is to predict the soil’s mechanical behavior by applying the principles of engineering mechanics. Some of the principles are mechanics of material, fluid mechanics, dynamics, and also kinematics. One of the concerns in soil mechanics is the landslide or landslip, which is a geological phenomenon that involves many aspects of ground movement, such as shallow debris flows, deep failure of slopes, rock falls, etc. Mostly the influence of landslide is affected by the force of gravity though of course there are other aspects that change the stability of the slope. Generally, there are six types of landslide; they are deep-seated landslide, shallow landslide, sturzstrom, debris avalanche, earth flow, and also debris flow. In the debris flow, commonly it is caused by slope material that becomes saturated with water.
